Mercedes 190 SL Restoration

The restoration of this 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, a US import is about to begin here at Prestige Restoration in Surrey.
The two-door luxury roadster was produced between 1955 and 1963. Selling over 25,000 cars, many of which were delivered to the United States.
We’ll update you as this project progresses and we’re looking forward to getting started on the bodywork requirements.
Arrival
Strip down and metalwork stage
We have paint stripped the vehicle body to bare metal using sanding/ stripping discs and appropriate hand tools to preserve integrity of the body.
Fabrication of new battery tray

DB172 Anthracite Grey Metallic
Chrome components stripped down, repaired where required and itemised. Ready to send for high quality chrome plating with S&T Electroplate.
Mechanical
Gearbox rebuilt with new input and output seals.
Engine is fully rebuild.
